The Art of Belly Dance originated in Egypt and has spread around the globe as a performing art and an exciting way to exercise. Join international Belly Dance star Habiba as she teaches a class and performs this ancient dance form. Habiba will teach you to shimmy, undulate and glide. Learn the latest moves from Cairo. Find out surprising facts about this fascinating dance and try it out. Women all over the globe have taken to this dance and it flourishes today in Asia, Europe and the Americas as well as the Middle East. The Belly Dance Day workshops are a preview of Habiba's upcoming six-week Belly Dance course at the Museum starting March 30th. There will be 3 workshops and performance. Advance registration recommended, class sizes are limited.
