Guests are invited to discover the Rich History of Fishtown and the Delaware River! The Friends of Penn Treaty Park and the Fishtown Business Association will be hosting the 2nd Annual Shad Fest this spring! Visitors can celebrate the historical and environmental significance of Fishtown, one of Philadelphia's oldest riverfront neighborhoods, and help energize the next generation to become involved in the future of the riverfront. The festival raises money for improvements to the park through the Friends of Penn Treaty Park. Vendor fees, T-Shirts, sponsorship and Hospitality bracelet sales all help support the park. Last year over 3000 people came to the ShadFest and enjoyed public access to the Delaware River, learning about the history of the Shad Fish and of Fishtown, and of course, good live music and tasty food!
