    The Chris Aschman Group is an original modern jazz quintet based in Philadelphia. Aschman's compositions have a distinct character that seamlessly combines the complexity of jazz with the energy of breakbeat and emotion of rock. Doubling on both trumpet and steel pan, Aschman blends his fiery improvisations with those of Korey Riker (Sax), Masami Kuroki (Guitar), Ryan Kuhns (Bass), and Joe Truglio (Drums). This dynamic ensemble showcases some of the best talent in the city, combining a variety of musical idioms with utmost craft and poise.
