Composer and performer Andrew Lipke has been making music in Philadelphia for over twelve years now and has kept himself very busy: From leading his band The Prospects to local, national, and critical acclaim, to composing music for original and innovative Philadelphia theater productions — resulting in a Barrymore win in 2007. From releasing three full length solo records (Ghosts 2005, The Way Home 2007, Motherpearl & Dynamite 2008), to producing several records for up and coming regional artists (Victor Victor Band 2007, Marc Silver 2008). Andrew has found a number of outlets for his deep passion for making music. This broad range of experience gives Andrew's work a sense of subtlety and depth that is refreshing and engaging. His powerful voice has drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright and Elvis Costello.
