The January 12th earthquake in Haiti has touched our hearts and minds. This evening is designed for those who desire to help and to learn more about the culture of this Caribbean country. Join Haitian community leaders and other humanitarian groups of the Philadelphia region in their efforts to provide relief for the people of Haiti. Discover the culture of the Republic of Haiti through an introduction to its history, languages, and politics. Get a glimpse of daily life in Haiti through two of its former citizens. Philadelphia and New Jersey teachers are eligible to receive 2 hours of Act 48 or professional development credit.
