Now you can learn about and experience the exciting craft of glass blowing for just $40! Open to ages 5 and up, the workshop will be held on Saturday January 30th, 2010 from 10 am-5 pm. A quick introduction to the shop, tools, and equipment by two experienced instructors will guide the participants to create a glass blown heart with the colors of your choice. This is great if you are not interested in pursuing glass but rather want a chance to experience the process up close. Each participant will receive their own keepsake glass heart and have the chance to experience glassblowing with a professional glass blower all for $40. No experience is necessary. The process will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The available time slots are: 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm. Bernard Katz Glass is located at: 3739 Sharp Street, Philadelphia PA 19127. The glass hearts must go through an overnight annealing (slow cooling) process and will not be available for same-day pick-up. They can be picked up the next day after 12 pm. If this is not possible, domestic shipping is available.
