Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble

Following its successful fall ‘09 debut, The Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble invites musicians & singers to join in 2010! The Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble--led by music director and violin virtuoso Hanna Khoury--is one of the newest projects here at Al-Bustan. The Ensemble plays a repertoire of classical Arab music. Participation is open for singers of all levels and intermediate to advanced musicians playing strings, wind, or percussion (3rd-12th graders, college students and older). Group instruction is on Wednesdays at U-Penn campus starting January 13th: Singers: 6-7:30pm; Instrumentalists: 7-9 pm.
