Boz Scaggs, the Grammy award-winning mastermind behind such classics as "Lowdown," "Lido Shuffle," "Loan Me A Dime," and "We're All Alone," returns for an evening of his signature blue-eyed soul. His most recent release, a collection of some of his favorite jazz standards entitled "Speak Low," proves to be romantic singing done casual and breezy. From the first notes, you sense that everyone involved is alive to the possibilities of the moment and, at the same time, it’s a feast of carefully wrought moods. Here’s Scaggs, owner of one of the most distinctive voices in popular music, singing sweet and low in the thick shadows.
