The Delaware College of Art and Design will open its 13th Annual Student Exhibition. Members of DCAD’s degree program faculty select the best of their students’ work to be featured. All levels and all six degree programs are represented in the show. An opening reception will be held from 5-9 pm the evening of Feb. 5 in DCAD’s Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery. The exhibition will be on display through March 15. The Delaware College of Art and Design is located at 600 N. Market St., Wilmington. For more information, call 302.622.8667 or visit www.dcad.edu. DCAD is Delaware’s first and only professional art and design school. The college offers the Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design and Photography. DCAD was founded in 1997 as a collaborative effort between two of America’s most distinguished art schools, Pratt Institute and the Corcoran College of Art + Design. In its first year of operation, DCAD enrolled 50 full-time degree students. The school now enrolls 220 full-time students, more than half of whom live in college-sponsored housing in downtown Wilmington.
