    Stretch your mind in new ways; whether a newbie painter or you have taken a few classes, this course will challenge, inspire, and support you in your creative growth! Explore painting foundations; tone, color, and paint application through observation of still life, portraiture, figure studies, and master works. Practice effective use of design principles and solidify understanding of concepts including composition, surface mediation, and color theory. Explore techniques for mixing and applying paint, analyzing value, seeing color, rendering light and shadow, mixing flesh tones, and creating volume while developing a personal and imaginative approach.
