Join Miriam Pinsker (2008-09 Curatorial Intern for the Scott Arboretum) on a photographic account of her 3-week trip in May 2009 to Corsica, the French and Italian Rivieras, Italy’s Lake Maggiore, and Geneva, Switzerland. During her travels—made possible through the Scott Arboretum Curatorial Intern travel fund—Miriam explored the endemic flora of Corsica’s Mediterranean island ecosystem; visited lavish gardens in Monaco and the Borromeo Islands; traveled to the highest peak in Western Europe; and visited a medieval village considered one of the "most beautiful villages of France." The Lunchtime Lecture series is an informal way to share what has been seen and discovered in various gardens and natural spaces both in the United States and abroad. Bring a bag lunch and join staff and guests of the Scott Arboretum for a visual tour of their travels to beautiful places. Free and open to the public, the series is held from noon to 1 pm in the Lang Performing Arts Center Cinema at Swarthmore College. Contact the Scott Arboretum Offices at 610-328-8025 for more information and parking instructions.
