Now in entering its 17th year, The Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway is well known for its challenging and supportive atmosphere which encourages imaginative risk taking and promotes freedom and transformation in each participant’s creative work. This intensive three-day conference features a variety of poetry and prose workshops, each with 10 or fewer participants. This is a conference where you write! Of course you will receive feedback, but these workshops emphasize creating new material or revising works in progress. Crack that winter thaw and join in at The Grand Hotel in historic Cape May during the three-day holiday weekend honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr!

If you want to write, network with other writers, write, talk about writing, write, and have some great times by the ocean, this is the place to be. The workshop leaders are talented and compassionate, pushing you to new levels while encouraging. The whole atmosphere is charged with creativity and appreciation for the work of others. I travel from Chicago to attend and I have not been disappointed. Collapse
