During this workshop you'll get to step into the studio and watch Sean Gilvey, the owner of Hudson Beach Glass Philadelphia, make the bowls you'll be using. Once you've gotten your fill of the hot shop, Mrs. Spence will demonstrate several flower designs. Then she'll help you to make your own. This workshop is right before Thanksgiving so that you can use your arrangement either as the star of your center piece, or give it away as a very impressive hostess gift. Whatever table it sits on will be as gorgeous as it gets. More about the bowls: Each bowl is blown by Sean Gilvey, a third generation glassblower and owner of Hudson Beach Glass Philadelphia. The bowls come in purple, copper and green. Sean will sign and date all of the bowls used for this event. More about the instructor: For the past ten years Michele C. Spence has given floral design workshops to Garden Club of America Members. Her designs have been exhibited at both the Philadelphia and Chelsea flower shows, as well as the Academy of Fine Art, University Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, and Longwood Gardens.
