Technology has taken over every aspect of life, at times this includes art. Roni Cibischino takes a classic approach on her debut exhibit, Men in Pearls, A Preview. No Photoshop or even digital prints included, just a good eye and some film. Her photographs are part of an ongoing project analyzing and pushing the limits of gender. The one subject images were skillfully shot in color. For each piece the viewer must look past the obvious and delve deep between the lines to understand the symbolism and message portrayed. The artist effortlessly and elegantly portrays a re-identification of gender. Although a unique selection was chosen for the Park House Café, many more sides of gender are and will continue to be explored in the completed work. The multi-faceted artist is sharing her exhibit with the greater Philadelphia area; hosting an opening on November 21 (the exhibit will run until December 19). This event is free and open to the public. It is a chance to discover the work of an emerging and vastly talented young artist.
