The Community Education Center (CEC) and Meeting House Theatre is proud to present the talented artists of the New Edge Mix Performance Series for the 25th Anniversary Season (2009-2010). Philadelphia’s premiere incubator program for emerging dancers and performance artists, the first New Edge Mix performance of our eight-event season will feature dancers/choreographers Ami Dowden-Fant, Jennifer Morley, Kate Speer, and Alie Vidich, and physical theatre artist Mary Tuomanen.

Expect the unexpected at this first New Edge Mix of our 25th Anniversary Season. Why should this season be any different? The CEC is known by artists and audiences alike for its edgy, often down right outrageous, dance and performance presentations. A highly inventive group of young artists will bring us dance and theatre that will entertain and stimulate. From Jennifer Morley’s humorous dance inspired by 1953 homemakers to the daring acrobatics of physical theatre artist Mary Tuomanen (she will swing from the rafters literally), you won’t soon forget this engaging evening of live performance.
