Michael's music is inspired by the deeply moving, transcendental poetry of Rumi, the 13th century Persian Sufi mystic. He'll be playing selections from his CD, The Soul Wakes: Rumi In Song, released on the LuxMusica label. He ll also be featuring new songs from his current recording project, A Path With A Heart. It is an uplifting collection of originals, covers and Rumi interpretations, exploring the challenges, joys in living a life with meaning and light. Michael London performs in concert, at workshops and conferences, and in support of sacred rituals. He is also a teacher of leadership, organizational behavior, group dynamics, and management at Muhlenberg College. Michael records his original compositions in the meditative space of his own recording studio. He has released two albums of original music. Michael will be accompanied by Paul Butler on saxophone, clarinet, and flute. Paul masterfully moves between many styles, including jazz, dixieland, chamber music, and Klezmer. He also has extensive performance experience, including performances with Grammy-nominated cellist David Darling. www.michaellondon.net
