Add Review/CommentA Fortunate Age was a New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle editors' pick, a winner of the Elle Readers' Prize, an IndieNext pick, a selection of Barnes and Noble's First Look Book Club , and is currently on the San Francisco Chronicle's best seller list. It's also featured in Poets and Writers. The novel follows a group of Oberlin grads who move to New York in 1998, at the height of the tech boom, and try to make their way in difficult fields -- music, theater, academia -- only to find their lives drifting in disconcertingly bourgeois directions.
