The Pirates of Penzance shows Gilbert and Sullivan at their best, bringing together comic characters and delightful songs in one of the favorite musical comedies of all times. How many ridiculous plot twists must the earnest young Frederic negotiate, before he can be free of his pirate apprenticeship, and pursue a blameless life and his new-found love, Mabel? And which of his many talents will the "very model of a modern major-general" employ to save his daughters from marrying a band of pirates? Who will prevail -- the sentimental pirates, or the timid police force? In this G&S classic, the audience wins!
