An OBIE winner, written by the writer of Children of a Lesser God, When You Comin’ Back Red Ryder  deals with the changes to the daily drudgery of life at a diner at a New Mexico Rest Stop when some complicated guests arrive. An upscale couple and an unbalanced Vietnam War Vet and his hippie girlfriend ignite a messy situation when illegal drugs and guns enter the picture and one of the characters resorts to physical, mental, and emotional torture when he holds everyone hostage.
