Free at the Kimmel: Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra
October 23, 2009
Known for their innovative programming and fiery performances, renowned Music Director & Conductor Daniel Spalding and the 15 member Philadelphia Virtuosi present one of their most innovative programs to date. Joining the Virtuosi will be the P.A.M. Band (Partially Artificial Musicians), who will present Seven Variations of Madness. Created by composer and violinist Kurt Coble, these charming next generation inventive instruments fuse kinetic sculpture with robotic technology to form a new expressive language and combine it with the traditional live string orchestra. The Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra has a fast-growing international reputation for excellence.
