Marlon Simon and Nagual Spirits

Marlon Simon is a Latin jazz composer, percussionist and educator and a prominent figure on the Latin American cultural scene. Born in Venezuela, he has been performing jazz, Latin and African originated music in the United States for more than 20 years. His ensemble Nagrul Spirits has released three recordings touring South America and Europe promoting Latin jazz and Afro-Caribbean music. A distinguished educator, he has received the Governor’s Award in Arts Education in New Jersey recognizing his distinguished work in performing and teaching. Marlon will be doing a week-long residency at Pottstown Middle School and a performance on the West Campus.
