PNC Arts Alive and Group Motion proudly presents City Dances/Parkway, an interactive, travelling performance involving dance, music, art and technology. Take a walking tour with Group Motion dancers to experience some of Philadelphia’s public art sites including Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker and The Gates of Hell, Mark di Suvero’s Iroquois and Jacques Lipchitz’s Prometheus Strangling the Vulture. Following the Group Motion dancers, equipped with iPods and speakers, and with your own music player with the City Dances Playlist downloaded, you will be led on this “travelling performance” with “moving music”, creating your own personal experience of contemporary dance and music with these Philadelphia art sites.

Choreography by artistic director Manfred Fischbeck and company choreographers, John Luna and Olive Prince.
