A Song for Coretta
November 17-November 29, 2009
"A Song for Coretta" takes place on February 6, 2006 while people began lining up outside of Ebenezer Baptist Church to pay their respect to the late Coretta Scott King, whose body lay in state in the sanctuary. As the day unfolds, people of all ages stood patiently and at times during the rain waiting to say goodbye. They share memories of Mrs. King’s extraordinary life and expressed sorrow over her passing. The five characters in the play are at the end of the long line of mourners.
