Being Jewish in France documents the history of French Jews from the period of the Enlightenment, when they were declared free, equal "brothers" to the virulent anti-Semitism of the Dreyfus affair and the stain of the Vichy regime's treatment of Jews. A startling, comprehensive view of a long love-hate relationship, the film was enormously successful at Lincoln Center earlier this year.In French with English subtitles.
