Roebling-The Story of the Brooklyn Bridge
September 25-October 11, 2009
The world premiere of local playwright Mark L. Violi’s epic drama about Trenton’s Roebling family, who, against all odds, designed and built the Brooklyn Bridge. Inspired by the true story of the Roebling family: patriarch John Roebling, who designed the bridge; son Washington, who took over the construction project from his father; and daughter-in-law Emily, who guided the project to completion against great odds Roebling is a behind-the-scenes look at the heroism of those who built the Brooklyn Bridge and the greed of those who tried to sabotage it for their own ends.
