The intensely creative ensemble Brooklyn Rider dedicates itself both to the in-depth interpretation of existing string quartet music and to the creation of new works. They are joined by the trio 2 Foot Yard featuring dynamic violinist-vocalist Carla Kihlstedt, recently hailed by Stereophile as an artist who “inventively straddles the classical and vernacular worlds without compromise to either side.” The two groups will perform separately and then together for a new jointly-written composition.
