Lyric Fest — sharing great music with kids! Imagine what can happen when a dad gets a son to unplug his iPod for a sound journey through Philadelphia... Broadway on Broad, the Classics on the Avenue, Jazz in Old City and Opera at the Academy! The concert winds up with excerpts from Richard Wargo’s, “The Music Shop”, a hilarious mini-opera about a trip to a music store to find a tune so familiar, that no one can remember it...With singers John Packard, Emily Bullock, Suzanne DuPlantis, Jeffrey Halili, Randi Marrazzo, Elizabeth Racheva, actors Jake Miller and Karim Council, dancer Crystal Fraser, young musicians from GAMP, the Grads of the Keystone State Boychoir, Joe Fitzmartin, music director, and Laura Ward at the piano.
