Recognizing and Combating LGBTQ Domestic Violence Is it happening to you, your clients, or someone you know? Find out what abuse and relational aggression means, how to help individuals avoid and get away from it, and what differences exist for people in the LGBTQ community. Learn the resources that exist for LGBTQ people in an abusive relationship. Sharon Cole is a published journalist and a certified domestic violence advocate trained by Women in Transition and Women Against Abuse. Cole is also a trained sexual assault counselor trained by Women Organized Against Rape.
