Intermediate American Sign Language In addition to increasing vocabulary, students will learn about the structure and grammar of ASL as well as Deaf culture and by the end of eight weeks, be able to engage in conversations with Deaf people more comfortably. The class will be taught by a Deaf member of the GLBT community. The class will also have an assistant teacher, who is hearing and who completed the ASL/English Interpreting program at Community College of Philadelphia . This is a more advanced level course for those who have basic ASL proficiency.
