The Washington Post has described Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra Tempesta di Mare as having "the energy of a rock solo with the craft of a classical cadenza." The group will devote its 2009-2010 season to performing the entire collection of J.S. Bach's famed Brandenburg Concertos alongside works by composers from within Bach's circle and influences from earlier generations. This season comes to a close with The Mixed Concerto, featuring Bach's Brandenburg Concertos IV and VI and works by Telemann and dall'Abaco, and a pre-concert talk with Telemann scholar Steve Zohn.
