An Arborist's Angle: The Specimen Trees of Laurel Hill
September 20, 2009
The location of Laurel Hill Cemetery is historically significant. Today, nestled within the bustling urban neighborhoods of Philadelphia, Laurel Hill continues to be a horticultural gem, a green refuge for birds and the various types of wildlife that make their home here. An Arborist’s Angle, a walking tour through Laurel Hill Cemetery, will specifically examine the site’s specimen trees. The program will be led by John B. Ward, a Certified Arborist with over 50 years of experience in his field, and a member of the International Society of Arboriculture; the Tree Care Industry Association; I.S.A. Certified Arborists; and the American Society of Consulting Arborists.
