Review/Comment
The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What? is a musical in the tradition of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”. This is a musical for grown-ups that shares a humorous & heartfelt look at the day-to-day adventures of the over 50 "empty nest" crowd, including everything from a midlife crisis, the arrival of the AARP membership card, dating & divorce, to plastic surgery and grand-parenting! It’s a Baby Boomer musical Comedy that’s fun for Everyone!
Thanks to a generous gift from the Society Hill Playhouse, with the assistance of its director Deen Kogan, CLA '51, 100 percent of advance ticket sales for the Oct. 14 show will benefit Temple University Libraries.

"The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What?" should be retitled "The Kids Left...Who Cares?" To paraphrase Click and Clack of "Car Talk," I wasted a perfectly good 90 minutes yesterday watching Carole Lonner's missterpiece at the Society Hill Theater. The story line and the lyrics were as wimpy as the cast, who left me wondering out loud to my better half, "There are a lot of talented people begging for roles out there. Is this the best Lonner could do? Instead of wasting time and money on this bomb, stay home and rake leaves. You'll feel better. Collapse
