The Dolce Suono Chamber Music Concert Series presents "Impressionisme/Japonisme," a concert exploring the crosscultural influences among Europe, the United States, and Japan in the 19th to 20th centuries via repertoire for flute, viola, and harp. Dolce Suono ensemble musicians Mimi Stillman, flute, Burchard Tang, viola and Coline-Marie Orliac, harp, will perform music by Debussy, Ravel, Bax, Takemitsu, and Rochberg. The Dolce Suono Chamber Music Concert Series has been dazzling audiences and invigorating the music world since its founding by flutist and Artistic Director Mimi Stillman in 2005. Dolce Suono engages the audience in chamber music at a profound level through innovative, dynamic programming spanning Baroque to contemporary music, talks and panel discussions by performers, scholars, and guest composers, and post-concert Meet-the-Artists.
