While looking for an apartment, a middle-aged American widower encounters a beautiful Parisian woman, with whom he embarks on a steamy, anonymous affair. Things go awry when he wants to make it more personal. Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider star in this controversial film exploring sexuality and shear emotion. This film is shown in conjunction with the December Film Education course, Revolutionary Dreamer: Bernardo Bertolucci.
