Justin Townes Earl and WXPN's August Artist to Watch, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, perform for the Free At Noon Concert Series.

The organic folk-rock band, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros have just released their debut album Up From Below, and have become a quite a phenomenon in Los Angeles. The band released their debut EP in May 2009, the buzz-building Here Comes and just put out their official full-length debut, Up From Below. Ebert's rough voice combined with eclectic instrumentals and a bright, utopian feel are making Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes one of the rising names of 2009 music.

Justin's latest release, coming not even a year after debut effort Good Life, is called Midnight at the Movies and is a continuation of the blend of influences seen in first release. With some awesome fingerpicking, a Rebels cover featuring mandolin, and a bit more honky-tonk this time, Midnight at the Movies is an excellent follow-up.
