DANCE

Streb
February 4-February 6, 2010
The Evil Knievel of dance and MacArthur Genius Award fellow Elizabeth Streb blends slam dancing, extreme sports, circus, and Hollywood stunt work into a performance that will delight both dance audiences and thrill-seekers alike! Streb’s “Pop Action” choreography challenges gravity and what is humanly possible in her latest tour-de-force Brave, featuring Olympian conditioned dancers in constant motion turning traditionally unoccupied spaces into new performance arenas. It’s a car chase and demolition derby at the same time, complete with spills, chills and thrills! These performances are part of the Dance Celebration Series, presented by Dance Affiliates and Penn Presents.
