A first-rate jazz musician for nearly three decades, Bobby Watson joins Warren Wolf, piano/vibes; Curtis Lundy, bass; Quincy Davis, drums; and Philip Dizack, trumpet, to perform selections from his 2008 release, From the Heart. Watson has worked with modern jazz masters, ranging from drummers Max Roach and Louis Hayes to fellow saxophonists George Coleman and Branford Marsalis. Today “his improvisations... with ripe and fleshy tone, keep his shows tense and exciting.” —New York Times
