Flutist Jasmine Choi: In Recital
March 7, 2010
Gramophone Korea praises flutist Jasmine Choi’s “perfect technique and astounding musicianship,” and on March 7 Astral Artists, one of the nation’s premier organizations for the career development of emerging classical musicians, presents the “major talent” (The Philadelphia Inquirer) in recital. Choi and pianist William Hong-Chun Youn touch all bases in a program spanning from Bach to a world première by young Korean composer Solbong Kim. Also featured is a transcription of Franck’s beguiling Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major.
