Fantastical Felt Family Workshop
July 18, 2009
The Fabric Workshop and Museum welcomes you to its Fantastical Felt! Family Workshop on Saturday, July 18. Artist-in-residence Tristin Lowe will open the afternoon, speaking about his awe-inspiring 50 foot felt sculpture of a sperm whale, currently on view at FWM. A demonstration of hand felt making and silk screen processes follows in the FWM print studio. Children will then create their own handmade felt projects with the assistance of parents and staff. While the felt pieces are sewn, children will also be able to silk screen print on t-shirts with an original design by Tristin Lowe. Space is limited, so preregistration is recommended.
