Celebrate Bastille Day with an arts-filled event sponsored by the Media Arts Council. State Street in downtown Media will be closed to traffic to accommodate this exciting event.

Themed activities will highlight American Independence and its influence on the French Revolution, featuring professional theater presentations, visual art displays and demonstrations, live music and dancing, children’s activities and crafts, and performers including stilt walkers and jugglers, and historic characters.

Special features will include performances by the Barbone Street Jazz Band and Hot Club Philly, storytelling by Benjamin Franklin, and a reenactment of the storming of Bastille in which the audience will be invited to participate.

This is a free, family-friendly event. More than 40 businesses will participate as well as numerous artists, musicians and performers. This will be a memorable independence celebration for the entire family to enjoy!
