Brandywine Ballet will hold a free outdoor performance July 25, 2009 at Rose Tree Park’s Amphitheater as one of the featured acts of Delaware County’s 2009 Summer Festival. The performance begins at 7:30 pm, and will include various repertory works promising to offer the exciting mix of classical and contemporary ballet for which the company has gained popularity. Rose Tree Park’s Amphitheater is located in Rose Tree Park, Upper Providence, PA (Route 252 and Rose Tree Road, just off Route 1). Brandywine Ballet’s Rose Tree performance marks the culmination of the company’s popular Summer Intensive Program, a three-week dance class and rehearsal regimen, which runs July 6 through July 25 in West Chester, PA. The Summer Intensive is an annual program offering serious dancers the opportunity to study with special guest instructors, undergo rigorous cross-training and conditioning routines, and participate in off-season performance engagements. Delaware County Summer Festival events are free and open to the community. There are four terraces for seating. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs so they can sit back, relax and enjoy the summer evening air. Concessions are for sale at all concerts. Guests may bring their own provisions.
