The Dolce Suono Chamber Music Concert Series teams up with the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Composers Forum for its 2009 New Voices Project. Eight Philadelphia composers were selected to participate in this performance and recording program. Each composer wrote a work for the Metal and Wood Band, one of Dolce Suono's highly acclaimed ensembles, comprised of Mimi Stillman, flute (Dolce Suono Artistic Director and Yamaha Performing Artist); Allen Krantz, guitar (Temple University); Burchard Tang, viola; and Emilio Gravagno, double bass (both of The Philadelphia Orchestra). The featured composers are: Michael John Ceurvost, Kevin Clark, Michael Djupstrom, William Dougherty, Joseph Hallman, Andrew Laster, Thomas Smith, and David Bennett Thomas.
