"If the Tokyo String Quartet isn't the world's greatest chamber music ensemble", says The Washington Post, "it's hard to imagine which group is." The first of the Tokyo's two performances this season features violist Michael Tree of the Guarneri Quartet and works by Schubert, Bartok and Brahms.
