THEATRE
The Story
March 12-March 27, 2010
Yvonne is an ambitious, young, African-American newspaper reporter, stuck writing puff pieces about black-related community events. Then, one day, while on yet another lifestyle assignment, she uncovers shocking details surrounding a major news story. It’s the story that could make her career. It’s the story that would force her editors to finally see her as a serious journalist. It’s the story that will change her life. But at what cost? As the story unfolds, so does a web of ambition, prejudice, morality, social politics and journalistic integrity. How reliable is the story’s source? And exactly how much of the story is true?
