Come enjoy the Distinguished Alumni Recital of Leah Mellman-Bowes & Craig Nies, Duo Pianists featuring Schubert's Sonata in C Major, D. 812, “Grand Duo” and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances Opus 45. Leah Mellman-Bowes was a student at Settlement Music School and graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music. She has been soloist with the Chautauqua Symphony, the New Orleans Symphony, and the New York Philharmonic.
Craig Nies has been on the piano faculty at the Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University, since 1991. His performances have ranged from his work with 10 Pulitzer Prize-winning composers to his current solo recital series of Bach’s complete Well-Tempered Clavier.
