The science of meditation will be considered from the perspective of researcher, physician and western-born Tibetan Buddhist monk, Barry Kerzin. Barry’s dual interests in meditation and medicine have led him to observe, as a physician, the meditative states of great masters during their dying days, as well as following clinical death. Recently, Barry has collaborated with experts in neuroscience meditation research, including Richard Davidson. Barry will give a public talk entitled Buddhism and Science.
