LECTURES & LITERATURE

Lecture: New Twists on Old Favorites
August 4, 2009
Join Andrew Bunting as he highlights this year's feature of the Scott Associates’ Plant Sale – "New Twists on Old Favorites". This lecture will explore new cultivars of old garden favorites. For example, Hydrangea paniculata, the panicle hydrangea, has been a garden favorite in many local gardens for the past hundred years. Andrew will show the group brand new introductions like Hydrangea paniculata Pinky Winky and Heuchera ‘Tiramisu’. Other new selections of old favorites to be covered include Nyssa sylvatica 'Zydeco Twist', Lagerstroemia Dynamite, Hamamelis × intermedia 'Brigit' and Syringa vulgaris 'Wonderblue'. Though these are new cultivars, they are from tried and true plants that excel in Delaware Valley gardens.
