Add Review/CommentA new exhibit presented by Mitchell & Ness in cooperation with the Philadelphia Phillies examines the long and glorious tradition of baseball in the City of Brotherly Love. This exhibit will not only explore the history of the World Series winning Phillies, but will also look at Philadelphia’s other historic teams, including the Philadelphia Athletics, the Philadelphia Pythians, the first African American team in Philadelphia (circa 1866), and the Philadelphia Stars, the Negro League team (circa 1933). Historic jerseys, photographs, Connie Mack Stadium seats, and more will be on display. In addition, see items commemorating the 2008 Phillies’ World Series championship. New objects will be featured each month of the exhibit through its closing in September 2009.
