Make it a day on, not a day off!
    January 21, 2013  Sign-in at 8:30 a.m. in the Park Theater

Initiated by congress in 1994, King Day of Service builds on his legacy by transforming the federal holiday honoring Dr. King into a national day of community service grounded in his teachings of nonviolence and social justice. The aim is to make the holiday a day ON, where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to improve lives, bridge social barriers, and more our nation closes to the "Beloved Community" that Dr. King envisioned. Hundreds of volunteers each year participate in this event at Valley Forge.

Please join us as we celebrate the 19th Annual MLK Day of Service at Valley Forge National Historical Park on Monday, January 21, 2013 with hands-on volunteer projects. Projects last until approximately 1 p.m.

Volunteers will help with maintenance preservation and environmental projects.

Contact Ernestine White, park wide Volunteer Program Manager, to find out how you can volunteer!
