    Inmate Elizabeth Velora Elwell writes secret love letters to inmate Albert Green Jackson in 1862. Inmate Sydney Ware, serving Life in Prison for murder, marries Ella M. Hershey, a society woman who helped secure his pardon, in 1913. Warden Robert McKenty marries Ella Dickson, the institution’s matron, in 1920.


    From Thursday, February 14 to Sunday, February 17, the one-hour guided tour will incorporate the true stories of love behind the walls of Eastern State Penitentiary.
